When investing in a brand new barn, commercial shed or other custom designed Shed Boss product, its looks and specifications aren't the only thing you should be concerned about.
In fact, the life span of the product is arguably of equal importance. After all, to get the most use out a building, it needs to last!
Custom designed for the future
If you ask, "how long is my product actually guaranteed to last?", the answer varies.
You see, factors such as the materials you use during construction and the location of the building can all change the guarantee. Different materials may also have different warranties, as our franchises are locally owned and operated, and our professional builders frequently use suppliers they trust from the same area.
COLORBOND® warranty
What we can tell you, however, is that by utilising COLORBOND® steel in your construction, you'll be in a position to benefit from its 15-year warranty from natural corrosion. That is, so long as everything is installed to the specifications on your warranty agreement.
For example, you will need to build your product at least 1 kilometre away from a "marine or industrial influence", according to the agreement. Though this is likely to affect some urban customers, Outback folk are less at risk.
There are also certain design specifications you need to meet when building with COLORBOND®. Pouring the slab after you have erected the walls could lead to premature corrosion, which may damage your shed within as little as two years. Of course, if you use Shed Boss to construct your building for you, we'll take care that all the necessary requirements are met, thus ensuring the 15-year warranty.
To find out more, contact your local franchise to hear about the suppliers they are likely to use.
